Painter
Doug Carter is a well know Tyler Artist who has been painting seriously since 1996. Oils and acrylics have always been his favorite mediums.
He was born in New Jersey and lived in many coastal states like Florida, South Carolina and Louisiana. He grew up in love with nature and explored the environments around him. The outdoors inspired him to become a Landscape Artist.
Doug spent his formative years in the school of hard knocks, but being influenced by his mother’s artistic talent he became a self-taught artist.
Doug eventually studied with several well-known artists and attended many workshops. He is a member of the Pallet of Roses Art League, has participated in many art shows, and has won numerous awards. Doug’s work has attracted local and national buyers.
Often his art is described as soft, yet rich with color and light, so as to invoke feelings and emotions that uplift the viewer.
